aquiring93
I just installed a new radio a couple months ago and today it decided to completely turn off. I checked all the wire connections and they're good, the fuses are good as well. I am thinking it may have something to do with the ground wire. Any thoughts? I kept the original radio and tried putting that one back in to see if it was the new radio that died, but that one wouldn't turn on either. ftpiercecracker1
Take a test light and see if you have power, if yes, find your ground and clean it up. Also there maybe more than 1 fuse to check, 1. inline just behind the new radio, cylindrical lookin 2. fuse box itself 3. on the back of new radio, literally, mine has this not sure what else, but hope this helps :waving:
87MJTIM
I am having trouble with my new (#3 for the MJ) radio. Sometimes I get no sound. It has power - the lights display, the clock keeps time, the station presets are kept. The fuses are all good. The wires are good, because when it does work, it works fine. I am thinking it is the high quaility, top of the line, Wal-Mart radio :ack: I bought. I sometimes pop off the face plate, hit the rest button, then re-program my stations and it works...for a while.
