88SGTSlaughter
Looking for idea or direction for seats. I do not currently have them or the brackets. What is my best option if I can't find stock replacements.

35 Dollars
Converting seat bracketry is a sketchy deal - I have experience with my Chevy pickup (I put a Dodge bench seat in it and had to make special brackets for the front). It also raised the seat up about 3 inches and made it difficult to get my legs under the steering wheel. Go with stock if you can find them. 87Warrior
Drive down to KS and you can have your pick of either of my two extra bench seats. I imagine you could easily find a bench near you for dirt cheap. Even if it is in shambles, the floor bracketry is what you need and the hard part is done. Another option is to find a 97+ XJ and get the seats, brackets and cut the floor brace out of the floor and install in your truck. Lastly, you can flip a bucket upside down and sit on it (hardly functional and uncomfortable).
Keyav8r
I used '95XJ buckets from jy by cutting the XJ brackets off the sliders and welding on brackets to make the seats "sit" right. I'm using the studs in the floor for the front brackets and added stiffener pieces under the floor to bolt down the brackets at the rear of the sliders. Still have to do some fine tuning to get the fit between the doors and the hump just right. Found another set in the right color and better condition that will bolt on the sliders - I think they came from a '98 XJ, but not 100% sure. 88SGTSlaughter
Thanks for the responses, yes finding seats/brackets isn't that eat around here. I will how ever be scoping the jy's around here after this weekend. I've been extremely busy the last two weeks!
