Trifecta1988 Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 I have a 1988 Comanche and here recently it has started acting funny. When I start up the RPMs jump real high and then come down. Also when I put it in gear and press the gas pedal it dies. I am confused as to what can be causing this. I am pretty sure my EGR valve is bad, but I am not sure if that would make it act like this. Any suggestions would be great. :huh???:
xjrev10 Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Most likely its a vaccum issue. I would replace all the vacuum lines. You can get both 'harnesses' from rock auto for less then 25 bucks.

cruiser54 Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 EGR is a vacuum leak when it's sticking open. Probably should address that first and take it out of the equation.
