OK my name is Jeremy this is my 88 MJ 2.5L, 4 cylinder, NP 231, AX5, D30 front & D35 REAR. Will be doing metal valve cover swap and bunches of new parts for this truck waiting to go on. As clean as i could get it my self. lol Had it blasted looks good but could shine better. um chrome it???! Inside, Out. lol New parts and we are both ready to see them on her lol. The po had it filled it in with rtv, bolt broke off. I used a drill and an ease out. great atleast the threads were'nt stripped out like i thought they'd be. publicneme1 Posted June 18, 2012 Author Share Posted June 18, 2012 Removed the radiator, fan shroud, and belt to pull the harmonic balancer and changed the front main seal while i was there too. Yeah haha i think its over loaded to with stuff i don't need. lol Been like that since i owned her but ill clean cut her when i do the fuel injection swap with stuff i scraped out a 91 comanche with 2.5 SFI. So i guess somebody thought if they the tightened them up good enought it would stop the leaking. haha nice try! Image Not Found It was way cleaner than i expected in there, not much slegde. need to see in the pan next when i do that gasket. Oh yeaa and work does pays off. haha now lets start it. oh no ping ping ping. So cover comes off again, inspection goes found one rear rocker arm was hitting the cover. oval bolt hole alingment on this cover great slid the cover away from the rocker bolted it back down. started oh now yes percfect sounding now all is well. cured ;) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
