Bed Swap

I bought my truck with a bed liner, and upon removing it today I found a hole that had been cut into the left side of the bed. Will a donor 86' bed fit swap with a 92' bed or is there modification that need to be done?

is it a complicated hole? would it be easier to simply patch it?

The previous owner cut out a rectangle about a third or fourth of the side bed length. I looks like they were trying to throw some bondex to repair body damage but but a bed liner on instead of fixing it. :nuts: For now I will just do a patch but eventually the bed will be replaced do to some other damage to the outside.
