andyahoo Posted March 21, 2006 Share Posted March 21, 2006 I like chat rooms, but...... The solutions and answers gained in the chat room will be lost once the converstation is over. The forum stores everything and is available and searchable by new users. I think the chat room might reduce the amount of posts on your forum and make it appear like your site activity is not what it is. I will not be using a chat feature on my site because I want all the important information gathered to be permenant in the forums. My site is commercial and this is important that I gain massive amounts of information on the forum. It might not matter to you. Just thought this was worth mentioning. Not sure if it matters to you.
