hick92 Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 In my 91 my fuel gauge reads 1/4 low and i was wondering how i could fix this problem
Pete M Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 well, you fill it til the pump stops. but how much can you fit in the tank? it's possible that the problem is in the tank and it's causing the pump to sense the tank is full and to stop. or the float in the tank has a point in which it gets stuck. or the fuel gauge is faulty. does the low fuel light come on about the time it's supposed to?
hick92 Posted May 24, 2012 Author Posted May 24, 2012 I don't have a fuel light and its just reading 1/4 below like it runs out with the needle 1/4 below E
Pete M Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 pretty sure we all have a fuel light that comes on when the fuel is really, really low. :hmm: ever run out of gas? so your gauge can read below the E? I wonder if you can just kinda move the needle over like i can in my van...
hick92 Posted May 24, 2012 Author Posted May 24, 2012 Yes i ran out of gas a few times and i tried moving thr needle but as soon as i turn thr key it goes right back i was wondering if there was adjustment
