dakal Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 does the upper rear stud for the shock mount unscrew? or is it a press in fit? thanks dave
btm24 Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 Front or rear? Both just screw off I think  Brandon
dakal Posted April 29, 2012 Author Posted April 29, 2012 thanks for the reply. its the back shock. the upper bolt. rather than bang and twist i would like to know for sure.
dakal Posted April 30, 2012 Author Posted April 30, 2012 still like to know for sure. otherwise, i'll find out by :wrench:
HOrnbrod Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 The pic below shows the bed rail and the upper MJ rear shock bracket assembly, item #10. It's not just a bolt, so I doubt you can just screw it off to replace it. But I've never replaced one so I'm not 100% certain.
Eagle Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 I'm pretty sure it's welded. It isn't a "bolt" -- it's a stud.
dakal Posted April 30, 2012 Author Posted April 30, 2012 thanks guys. i'll document what i do with it.
