86customanche
I believe within the next month or so well be coming up on the sad day of the end of production for the MJ :( Whats the latest production date that has been found and does anyone know the exact date that the production was stopped? It will for sure be a sad anniversary.

Geonovast
For some reason Chrysler is keeping the last build date and VIN a huge secret. :fs1:
86customanche
For some reason i wanna say June 6th 1992 was when the final MJ laft the line. I know it was early June though ;) That sounds about right. I have seen some late May VINs so I figured there were a few after that. I happen to have one of the early 92s, a September build, still that last year though.
Automan2164
The NY times is as good as it gets for last build date: http://www.nytimes.com/1992/06/06/busin ... anche.html The Chrysler Corporation said it would end production of its slow-selling Jeep Comanche pickup truck at its Toledo, Ohio, plant next week after eight model years of production. Chrysler, which acquired the American Motors Corporation and its Jeep operations in 1987, had been building about 12 Comanches a day. The Toledo plant now makes about 720 Cherokee sport-utility vehicles a day. The Comanche is a pickup truck version of the Cherokee. A company spokesman said that although the Comanche is scheduled to officially go out of production on June 12, the auto maker may have already built the last one. But plant officials were not immediately available to confirm the report. That's the best I can ever get on last-of dates. Rob
