Bhfear Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 This is a newb question for sure, but I have an 89 MJ and it has a spare tire hanging under the bed with the cable (just like my 01 sierra) and has a shaft coming out the back to crank it down I am assuming, On my GM it uses the tool for the lug nut wrench to twist it down, My question is what do I use on the MJ, Is it a comanche only "tool" or what else works to crank that down???
AMCJeepMJ Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Just get a long 3/8" extension, about a foot or so, and jam it in there and go to town with a ratchet.
jpdriver1 Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 the handle for the stock jack is designed to fit ---- I threw the jack away and kept the handle for this only :wrench:
