CLUTCH QUESTION

Recommended Posts

i am doing the infamous ba10 to ax15 swap. i have searched the threads and i cannot find the answer I'm looking for.

are any of the parts associated with the clutch the same?

flywheel---

clutch disc---

master cylinder---

bearings or bushings---

my truck is a 1989 4.0 2wd with the ba10 currently installed. before i buy a clutch kit or any parts i want to be sure I'm not wasting money bacause the clutch on my ba10 only has a couple thousand miles on it. if i can use any of the parts it would def help.

I used the same flywheel, I media blasted it.

I used a new clutch kit, looking for what year I used, i'll update the post if I find it.

I used the same master cylinder, but I used AN fittings and a line sold from advanced adapters: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ADD-716130-60/

the bearing depends upon the year of the AX15 iirc

91+ ax-15 requires new pilot bushing

Part number pb77

Or pb77hd (heavy duty)

Have fun with the bearing,

Took me 5 days with recomended ways of removing it. Even rented the proper tool,

Ended up using a hammer and center punch.

Took 15 mins and was about 6 pieces afterwards but it was way better than spending almost a week trying to get it out.
