Jeepman Posted February 6, 2012 Share Posted February 6, 2012 OK So I am going to do another MJ Conversion this time a Mint 1988 Sport truck that I am going to bring upto more of a 1999 Specs... This will be a MUCH more involved conversion then my last one but not nearly the same as my third I have plans for (extended cab MJ but that will be a while down the road) So My intentions for this one are: - Strip down everything - Sandblast Everything inside outside and upside down - Do any repairs and modifications that are necessary - Completely LineX the underside and X-Frame (most likely colour matched to the exterior) - Then Paint it inside and out (colour is Unknown @ this time) - I am debating on doing a 2500 Conversion as well but I will see if this becomes an option or not late - Many other MISC things but they will remain a Secret till the truck is closer to completion So for starters here is the Truck and I have started stripping it today... This Truck is origonally a 2WD 4cyl Manual Bone stock MJ that will become a 4.7-5.0L Supercharged engine and fully loaded with every option know including heated leather seats... Tomorrow I will focus on stripping the interior... I will have lots of Misc little items if anyone here needs something let me know because I am listing all the little stuff locally for sale on Kijiji or it is going to scrap and/or the dump... Fortunately It was a base model with Vynal Flooring and ONLY Surface Crust which should sand blast off easily... (I Hope) Some Flakey Paint.... It is nice to see clean origonal Metal under there.... I bought the Jeep knowing it had all the options I wanted for my MJ conversion... - Power Windows - Power Door Locks - Cruise - A/C - Black Interior - Power Heated Mirrors - Power Heated Seats - Overhead Console - Working Key Fob - Sentry System - NP242 - 4.0L - AW4 I Learned the first time I built my Current MJ to make sure for the next one to have every Option I wanted in my Jeep...
