89JeepMJ Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 I have a sunpro gauge and was wondering if any of you guys installed one and where a good place to thread it in at would be. i don't have a spot on my water pump or anything. would the drain plug work? its 6 cyl
Eagle Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Why not get an HO thermostat housing? That has a threaded outlet for the temperature sensor.

nitroxsteve Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 If you go the HO water outlet route be sure to check how far the probe goes into the housing. When I installed a mechanical guage on my truck I used the HO water outlet and used the smaller fitting on the guage and a pipe bushing to space the probe out enough to not bottom out in the housing. I pulled an HO water outlet from the Pull-a-part for about $5.00. I can post a picture tomarrow if you want.
