HOrnbrod
Damn she is lookin' great mate. I love those nutserts too; use them for mounting just about everything. What are your cooling system plans for that monster motor Coffman? Also, what kind of emissions regs/testing do you have in Tasmania?
COFFMAN
Damn she is lookin' great mate. I love those nutserts too; use them for mounting just about everything. What are your cooling system plans for that monster motor Coffman? Also, what kind of emissions regs/testing do you have in Tasmania? Thanks hornbrod hoping the above will do the trick. As for emissions, should be fine with the original jeep stuff. The round plastic canister etc. The GM LS1 is also a 99 model so both cars would have the same business. In sort there will be no test, as long as what was on the car when built or motor which is the newest should be fine. EDIT: A STEEL COWL HOOD would always help
COFFMAN
Quite happy with how the dash fits, picked it up from when removed from the dona.Straight in the cab & onto the two studs along the wind shield, the bottom brace which had not been removed lined up perfect with the two bolt holes in the top of the tunnel. I'm missing the plastic piece that goes between the heater box & plaum chamber, so the dash has to cum back out. I will use me thread inserts for the lower bolt on each side. COFFMAN
Well and truly over time for a update.... The project had stalled for some time as sorting out the accessories drive has been one major head banger...lol So I will try and explain where I'm at. The alternator needed to be moved from ( LOOKING AT THE FRONT OF THE MOTOR ) lower right hand side to upper left hand side. The A/C compressor from lower left to lower right hand side. Power steering to remain upper right mounted independently to head as per original. And this is where the fun beings... The belt tensioner After many phone call / email a TOP bloke named Zach, as he said " you know what you've wore me down and I'm going to do this for you " So after quit sometime my bracket to mount alternator with belt tensioner finally arrived. Awesome workmanship a quality product.

COFFMAN
I used the C-ROK steering box brace as a template fro the R/H drive conversion to mount steering box. The sleeves on the left are the original. Had bigger sleeves made and tig welded to the outer plate. Asls fitted L/H brace as this was sent by misake. will give me a good platform for a steering box brace.
