terrawombat Posted November 18, 2011 Share Posted November 18, 2011 Turbo's can easily be replaced and adapters can be made to make some of the more common turbos adapt to the exhaust manifold on the XJ diesel. I'd be more concerned about the machining time to get the block and head decks true after it overheated and definitely warped some stuff. The fact that there is water in the crankcase also means trashed bearings. Basically, the engine is likely shot and this truck would only be worth it to someone who has an MJ or XJ diesel and needs some of the other hard to find diesel parts under the hood.
