lexluthier72
Hey All, So...I asked in the tech section for some ballpark specs on shift knob size....Then I passed the info on to a buddy of mine, and today he presented me with this....Solid Rosewood and copper shift knob. lexluthier72
Thanks Pete! My truck came with a Hurst T-handle, which needless to say, sucks, and now that its going on winter here, it sucked even more. The threaded insert did not go in well on this one, so I'm having him make another one. (he owes me a couple favors) and hopefully we can get the insert in correctly. It sure does feel good. Warm to the touch. Also fits well, as I'm a Guitar builder by trade....we use alot of rosewood. :D
lexluthier72
This will be functional...the rosewood is hard as rocks. This will probably outlast the truck, and is removeable. I took a look online at prices on buying something like this....Yikes, I am in the wrong biz. A turned shift knob like this would most likely run in the $200 range to purchase online. -E.
