Stock shift knob length?

Hey All,

Since I picked up my truck a few months ago now. It did not have the stock shift knob

(4 speed) It had been replaced with an aluminum "hurst" shift knob. I have decided to make one....(I have a guy with a wood lathe) out of some exotic guitar building wood scrap I have laying around. Anyone know the length of a stock shift knob? I'm assuming the 4 and 5 speed knobs are approximately the same length.

Never really thought about a "knob" having a length dimension...It's round, about 2.5" I'd guess

They are about 2 1/2" and drilled into the bottom, but they are ergonomic, not round shaped.

Thanks Guys! I just needed a basic length measurement for the guy doing it. I'll post a photo of the custom knob when its done!
