jeepdoc Posted October 12, 2011 Share Posted October 12, 2011 I just bought a 1990 eliminator 4.0l with ax 15 trans 2wd. I also have a 1992 2 door xj with 4.0ho with awd and 4x4. My question is would the 231 from the aw4 mate up to the ax 15 i have the 4x4 output shaft and adpt housing to convert the 2wd manual trans to 4x4. But can't seem to find if the input spline count is same. same as everyone else converting to 4x4 and the 4.0 ho the 92 is the doner. Or thinking just going auto if to complicated and need to tow jetskis to the lake thinking auto might be the better choice for towing? what do you guys think just polling the audience Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
