I'm wanting to check the fluid level before I assume its anything worse, because I'm planning a complete overhaul and installing a locker in the next month or so. So my question is.... What size torx bit fits the fill plug on an AMC 20?
streetjeep2.5 Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 dunno, but you need a selection of torx bits anyway cuz they come in handy at times, so head to your local tool supply place and buy a set and use the one you need! :brows:
86ComancheXNate Posted June 15, 2011 Author Posted June 15, 2011 Well word on the street is it actually isnt a torx bit its an allen plug. 3/8 is what I've heard. The only reason I was thinking torx was because the shop I took it to get the oil changed was going to check my fluid level in the diff but couldnt find the right size torx bit. I wonder why lol

jimoshel Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 They used both, Torx and Allen, plus any PO could have swapped. Look at it and identify what you've got.
