86ComancheXNate
Ok so I'm getting a low rumbling noise coming from my rear axle. I'm wanting to check the fluid level before I assume its anything worse, because I'm planning a complete overhaul and installing a locker in the next month or so. So my question is.... What size torx bit fits the fill plug on an AMC 20?
streetjeep2.5
dunno, but you need a selection of torx bits anyway cuz they come in handy at times, so head to your local tool supply place and buy a set and use the one you need! :brows:
86ComancheXNate
Well word on the street is it actually isnt a torx bit its an allen plug. 3/8 is what I've heard. The only reason I was thinking torx was because the shop I took it to get the oil changed was going to check my fluid level in the diff but couldnt find the right size torx bit. I wonder why lol

jimoshel
They used both, Torx and Allen, plus any PO could have swapped. Look at it and identify what you've got.
