I had to do a little repair work today! It doesn't like metal poles too much! I'm still getting use to the steering.

I broke these two plastic thingy's and a lower control arm.

I upgraded to billet thingy's and will order some aluminum control arms soon.

I also made a cover for the hole the previous owner decided to have for a grille.

a word of advise:

whenm buying bulkheads for maxx trucks, make SURE that you get good quality units. there are some VERY cheap ones that will break just as easily as the plastic ones. good ones are made by fastlane machine, and great assembly RC (6061 or 7075 aluminum) (i have the 7075). I would also HIGHLY recomend RPM a-arms. they weigh the same as plastic, but they are nylon and will not break. I have hit posts going ~40mph, and hit the control arm, which did not snap. the bulkheads did not either. if you get AL bulks, and arms, then one of those will bend. the RPM arms will bend, then rebound.

I don't know how new you are to Maxx's but I am very familiar. If you are familiar, please don't be offended. I'm just trying to give a little help.

I was a T-maxx virgin until last Friday! This is my first one. Thanks for your help. I think I will try the RMP a-arms. I'm finally getting the hang of driving my T-maxx. I wasn't getting full steering ability until I changed the batteries on the truck.

get a lazer temp meter to keep an eye on the temps. with the larger tires, you might need a new clutch bell...atleast with an Emaxx you do, not sure about T-Maxxes. i know quite a bit when it comes to maxx trucks. you need to run a battery pack with your reciever to power the steering/throttle servos, and if the battery runs out you could get a run away. those AA batery packs last around 8-10 tanks of gas before you need to chance them again. if you get a rechargeable pack, get one that is 6v...not 4.8, because it will be MUCH more sluggish.

another word of advise, keep the bumper brackets plastic (Al bumpers are ok i think). if you go Al, they will bed, and break your bulkheads, which are a pain to change.

again, if you need help with the truck in any way (except engine stuff/tuning) don't hesitate PMing me, because i LOVE to help people with this stuff.
