I really wouldn't know what the correct size (GVW) that I would need for the MJ. I really didn't want to oversize it. I already have 1-2 aftermarket ones. I was thinking the factory one is nice, compact and sized for the AW 4.
philbert001 Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Would too big cause problems? Look for an XJ in the yard with the factory tow package. It'll have one in it for the aw4, and it'll bolt right up! When I swapped the motor and trans outa my XJ, into my MJ, I brought it along! I just measured mine for ya, to see if your aftermarket ones will be comparable. The factory XJ one is 3 inches x 16 inches, (Not including the 2 hard lines coming off the end), and about an inch deep.
