rubicon express has a nice lift. i think i might purchase that this summer. the cheapest option would be to browse the for sale forums on jeepforum, and naxja for used parts that you can get. for the rear, just buy new spring perches, a 1995 dakota rear flex line, new u bolts....a little welding and you have lifted the rear.

the rocky-road kit is a nice kit, although it doesnt address the control arms. you will most likely end up with bad vibes and possibly death wobble... not to mention a BUMPY ride if you lift 5 inches and don't address the Lower control arms and also the uppers.

rubicon express has a VERY complete kit that you could buy, and run moab with the next week. although schocks are separate.

another option as pong said is to peice together your own lift... as you know soa rear is cheap and only needs longer brakelines and new spring perches, and then you could find CA's and springs, as well as a longer track bar and front brake lines somewhere cheap.

^^^ definatly over 4 inches you need new lower control arms or you will get death wobble to a degree. if you decide to get the rocky road kit rough country lower arms are like 100 dollars. thats what i have on my jeep. they got rid of my death wobble.

The one link above has this set up on the front:

First, lets start with what

you'll need for an ideal setup for up front.

-Rubicon Express 4.5 inch ZJ coils $150

-Rubicon Express adjustable Trackbar $135

-Rubicon Express adjustable upper control arms $180

-Factory ZJ lower control arms

-Factory YJ (1987-1995 wrangler) front brake lines $35

-Swaybar Disconnects $60

-JKS Bar pin eliminators $45

Anyone try this setup, out of used parts this could be a very low cost set up. Even lower cost being my wife is sick and her ZJ is out in the drive :brows:

the only thing is, that IS a cheap way to do it. but thats 585$ plus whatever the cost of factory ZJ arms are for you

and for 1100 you could have a FULL kit that's gauruntee'd to work right, and very smooth and also flex like CRAZY offroad.

thats why I'm thinking the RE kit is the most economical even if its not the cheapest.

to each his own though.
