veritas4156
So apparently the reason why I pretzelled my drive shaft was because the yoke on the rear axle broke. Tab is missing and the u joint just slid out of the straps through there. Are there different yokes that were used on the D35 rear axles or can I just run down to the JY and grab one off any of em? mnkyboy
I believe they are the same on all d35s
HOrnbrod
You can use a heavy duty u-bolt style yoke like below. Much stronger than the standard yoke and just a few $$ more. Used one of these when I had to replace the pinion seal on the D44, along with greasable u-joints.
veritas4156
More or less right now I just want to get the truck back on the road for as cheap as possible but when I lift it i'll probably switch over. Free is cheaper than anything so I'll probably take a stock one but it is off a YJ. Either that or fifty for a ZJ disc rear. If the gears are right.
