(MJ) Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 i just converted my 89 SporTruck to an AX15 and am now having issues shifting into the gears. the transmission was rebuilt, new clutch and resurfaced flywheel, bleed it mutliple times. it will work fine one minute and the next not want to go into gear. sometimes pumping the clutch up or just waiting for a few seconds and trying again and than it will barely let me manhandle it in. any suggestions?
Eagle Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 Yup ... buy a new flywheel. The factory service manual states very clearly that the flywheel should NOT be resurfaced.
Geonovast Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 What was your truck before? BA 10/5 or an automatic? If it was originally a 5 speed with the BA 10/5, did you re-use the slave cylinder?
