It had no effect on the load leveling valve for me. But lifting it does as it shortens the rod. The rod should be extended by the same amount as the height of the lift.

Ok cool. It's staying stock height for now. Maybe in the future I'll swap out for an XJ valve and just keep the rears adjusted to where they don't lock.

 

Another question would be disc brakes in the back, any effect on the valve with those? I know rear discs already use a lot less pressure than the fronts, so maybe there's no need for the height valve with disc.

I have rear disks and the load leveling valve regulates the rear brake bias just as it did with the drums. Just had to lengthen the rod a bit and tune it in.
