Headlight Problem

Headlights only work when on bright? Is this a fuse or relay? Switch seems fine.

Could also be that both low-beams are burned out. Happened on a friend's car once.

:agree: Low beams are "on" more of the time than high beams.

 

Other than that, shot gun a new bulb in, check for voltage at the plug while you are there.

 

Or vise versa.

There is no fuse or relay. The switch has a circuit breaker built into it -- if the high beams work, the headlight switch is good. The problem is either in the dimmer switch, or in the wiring. (Unless, of course, both low beam filaments are burned out.)
