HR4x4
I recently bought a Comanche 2x4 with the idea of converting it to 4x4. When I got it, it was in very poor condition, had many missing parts and I've been buying and placing the correct stuff. I already but the front axle a Dana 30, a Rough Country 4.5" suspension that will bee installed if possible this weekend, from there next step will be SOA for the rear axle. After that next step will be the transmission upgrade but there's where I'm stuck by a lack of information. I all ready got a NP231J transfer case from a friend that was junking his 89 Cherokee. So I need some advise from you over the transmission, the MJ came with a AX15 and an hydraulic clutch, and I been told that I need to get a set of transfer case with a AX15 transmission as a total part. Isn't it possible to get some kind of part as an adapter that I can install in order to use the transfer case that I already got?

Pete M
or if you don't know that, what is the spline count of the input shaft on the t-case?
maddzz1
If the ax15 was in the 2wd I don't think you can hook the trans case up to it.
