Jeepman Posted January 27, 2011 Share Posted January 27, 2011 The Dynomax Header is Much like the pacestter Header and I have seen a few of those Rot out and crack + I like the double flange on the clifford, easy removal and gives me a cleaner install... Eagle Posted January 27, 2011 Share Posted January 27, 2011 Interesting. The Blackjack says the primary pipes are 1-1/2" (no problem there) and the collector is 2". But the down pipe for a standard 4.0L is a 2-1/2", and the catalytic converter is a 2-1/2" inlet and tube, that necks down to 2-1/4" between the cat and the muffler. I have an '87 MJ and an '88 XJ, both 4.0L. The down pipe is 2-1/2", the catalytic converter is 2-1/2", and the outlet of the cat necks down to 2-1/4" where it enters the muffler. It has the pipe with the flange on it with the 4 bolts that connect to the factory system. In the photo below it's the shortest piece that is furthest back in the system.
