Radio wire ID?

1990 Comanche.

I have 2 wires in the radio harness I can't ID.

The blue with white stripe and the orange with black stripe.

Any body know what these 2 are?

 

I have the control head in and everything works just fine,

I just hate not knowing what these are for.

I do not have a power antenna.

 

I can link a photo of these 2 wires later if needed.

are these wires from the jeep or from the radio harness? after market the blue white would be power antenna or amp turn on (I always get them mixed up) and the orange black would probably be dimmer or illumination.

These wires are from the Jeep wire harness, everything was cut and taped so I ordered a replacement dash harness plug to do the new in radio install proper and clean.

I am inclined to agree with ur assesment of dimmer and power antenna.

 

I'll have to dig into the dash again later and put these wires into the radio harness plug and see what happens but after I get more info.

In the 88 Comanche electrical book,on pages 56 and 59 it shows that the blue/white is Dim Display Input on pin 11 and the orange /black is the Display Backlighting Lamps on pin 10. The link for this manual is on this site somewhere. Very good manual to have and again I thank whoever posted it.
