martens.jam
Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and I just bought an 88 MJ. I need to do some repairs on the cooling system (coolant tank is broken)and I've got a 92 XJ for parts. How hard is it to convert to the open loop (?) system. Thanks. Geonovast
Since you have an entire donor, it's pretty simple. Just remove all the cooling stuff from the 88, and move the 92 stuff over.
martens.jam
My donor isn't complete. The motor has already been pulled. I think I just need to change the rad, drivers side rad hose, the heater hoses and heater control valve.
Geonovast
You'll need the overflow bottle.

Darren
I just used a generic overflow bottle from NAPA when I did my swap on my 87. Worked great.

I'll see if I can find a spot for the newer Jeep one but if that doesn't work out I'll look into a generic one. Thanks.
