91 obd distributer into renix 89?

will the distributer from my 91 4.0l work in my 89 renix? my jeep as a little sputter at low rpm driving, i want to take the dis, and wires from the newer one that idles and drives smooth but is not road worthy. and how easy and fast is it to sw2ap the closed to open cooling system

What makes you think it's the dizzy? The dist itself rarely causes problems. Do a regular tune-up on the 89, also check to make sure the coil and CPS aren't the problem. Could also be low fuel pressure.
