auto trans question

Just wondering how good the auto trans is out of the comanche? I might have found a trans for my truck but its auto so I might be converting it from manual to auto and I need to know if its worth it or not.

the AW4 is suppose to be a pretty solid tranny. I like having mine, but I do miss driving the stick

 

if you going with a stick choose an AX15, the extra $ will be worth the less hassle

If it is an AW4 it is a great tranny. But you are going to need the ECM for it as well as the wiring harness.

I am thinking of buying the whole truck if its in decent shape. The same guy is selling an AX-15 with t-fer case. I don't know what I should buy, everything or one or the other. I'm kind of limited on money but I'm getting a great deal for either one so I might buy both.

If you all ready have a manual.. it is easier to keep a manual.

 

The aw4 Tranny is a strong tranny. BrettM on this board has made a fancy Lil manual shifter thingy for it. IF I was going to swap trany's over... I would be looking at a stronger tranny then the AX15. Jut my thoughts though

Go AW4 or nv3550, depending whether you want auto or stick.
