Carl'sMJ
Regarding the foam piece that covers the front of the floor pans and the lower firewall... Is it just a noise dampener or does it serve any other actual purpose? I've already trimmed it up a bit while doing my floor repairs, but I've noticed it has ripped and is starting to separate from its attachment points. I would like to just cut the whole thing out and ditch it if it doesn't serve any real purpose... Thoughts? Image Not Found

DJM/78
Its good to save if you can save it but once the plastic is torn , it looses its moisture block barrier anyway , then it soaks up water making potential rust spots worse with the carpet soaking in water .
