1tonMJ Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 My steering column is loose. Not the whole thing, just from the adjustment point directly behind the wheel. From that point down into the firewall is solid. But from the pivot point to the steering wheel is what moves. There is slack in it so it kind of hangs down about 2" form center. In fact, it will move in all directions as well. I didn't notice it getting progressively worse, I just noticed it loose one day. I have looked and felt around, there does not seem to be anything loose, or adjustable, with out taking anything apart. Any ideas?

jimoshel Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 Don, The way you come up with references for stuff, I've just got to ask. Do you have a photographic memory or just a neat filing system? Jim, << Can't even find his own butt sometimes.
HOrnbrod Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 Lol. I usually can remember an interesting post I've read on CC and a key word or two so it makes the search easier. But normally I can't find my own butt either. :D
1tonMJ Posted October 15, 2010 Author Posted October 15, 2010 eh, just read it. :dunno: I guess all I can do is try. Wonder if getting a brand need column would be easier.
jimoshel Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 No, it wouldn't. MHO. I've probably repaired over a dozen of them, by myself. It's not easy but the instructions makes it more intimidating than it is.
