MjPioneer Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 I just sealed the deal on a 1989 4 banger manche. The issue aside from the floors is the tranny is stuck in reverse. I have a ba10 from my old rig would this tranny mate to the 4 banger or is it totally different? Also is their a way to see if it is just the linkage busted up in the truck without removing it?
Pete M Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 completely different trans. they do not interchange. have you tried kicking the shifter really hard? worked for me the time my peugeot got stuck in 2nd. :rotf:
MjPioneer Posted October 13, 2010 Author Posted October 13, 2010 When I first got it home I pushed and shoved, huffed and puffed and couldn't get it to move. I decided in my infinite wisdom to give it a flying drop kick....now the shifter feel like it's in neutral but the truck is still in reverse. Oops :grrrr:
