Clear Gauge Cluster Lens

I have been told that the lens for the 90 and below (mech speedo) clusters will not interchange with the 91 and above (electronic speedo) clusters because the odometer reset rod hole are in slightly different locations. I don't have a Renix cluster to try the lens on. Can anyone verify this for sure? Gracias. :cheers:

It is true.

 

 

I find that less renix clusters have trip meter, though....so when I need a good one for a h.o. Cluster, I just drill the hole in the correct spot using the lens from a non-trip equipped cluster

Don't have an HO cluster, but had two Renix lenses (with holes) sitting next to this computer so I thought I'd at least throw these up for reference...

Thanks guys. The hole on the HO cluster is about an inch more inboard. Another non-wasted day - learned a bit more about these trucks.
