Closed to open cooling system swap

Just read lead's write up on this. I've got pretty much a good idea on what to do. I'm looking at a 97+ XJ for replacement front end parts, just wondering if the cooling parts can still swap. Looks to be a pretty simple swap. Any body have any pointers or things to watch out for on this? Thanks in advance

yup. just gotta replicate the system as you see it in the 97. take photos. lots of them. and be sure to grab the heater hoses too. the late model XJs don't have that silly heater valve that gums up in my trucks.

I'm hoping to get a whole XJ to work with, preferably 97+ but that is turning out to be pretty tough
