MjPioneer
I know I'm beating this to death with a stick but I'm still having issues with my rear brakes. I ordered everything I was told I needed by C.A.P for my drum brakes, but now I realize I'm short on parts here... Essentially I needed every single part for the rear brakes I had nothing just a bare axle. I picked up backing plates, "hardware" kit, shoes, wheel cylinders, drums and lines. I went to install the brakes today and now I'm at a stand still. It appears I am missing many many parts. I circled everything I need to find in this picture I checked out the local Jy and I can't find another D44 to pull these parts from and I wasn't sure if D35 ones would fit. Any idea where I can find these parts? I also need to find the bolts that hold the wheel cylinder onto the backing plate. :fs1: Also I removed the old rotting lines that were still on the axle and ran into another issue. I have this T fitting junction on my axle that I can't find another of. I was going to try to re-use it but it is trashed. I tried to look it up but I can find this one, at the parts store they told me I would have to go through Jeep, I'm hoping I don't need to since that will cost an arm and a leg. This is the junction fitting I am referring to. I appreciate the help guys.
ComancheKid45
That fitting is just a rear brake line. Look up 1 for a 95 Dakota if you plan on lifting or have already lifted your truck. Itll bolt right on and be a bit longer as well. Should be available through any parts chain (I know Advance has em)
mjtjnj
I just went through this with my amc20. Go to a good mom n pop parts store, and let them look in the book for the "heavy duty axle" parts in the brakes book; all the parts are still available. Some of the stuff is the same as the d44, some is not; I know for fact the e-brake bar is NOT the same. The adjusters are. I have a whole box full of spare parts off my d35 you can have, including the adjusters, which are the most expensive (and the same in d44/amc20 and d35). Send me a PM if interested.
