Craft86MJ
Would a performance lightweight flywheel (5-8lbs. lighter) help out a lot or a little on a 3.4L motor. Use as street/ DD. I know on my Grand Am it made a world of difference that a 4Cly. though. Thanks
Eagle
It depends on what you mean by "help out." A light flywheel will allow the engine to rev up a little faster, but it also makes it harder to drive without bucking and stalling. Given the weight of a Jeep, I doubt very much that you would find it an improvement.

dasbulliwagen
I would only do a lightened flywheel if I was racing it, otherwise its not very beneficial in real world driving. Especially in a Jeep where you want to keep some low end torque, a lighter flywheel would ruin that.
