loomis3 Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 Ive got a 87 comanche that runs like a top, until you splash in the smallest bit of water or go down a really rough road then it cuts out and dies. let it sit for 10 or 15 min and it goes good again. not real sure where to start with this, i know its most likely electrical but anyone have any hints or ideas.
mvusse Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 Start with a tune up: Distributor cap, rotor button, plugs and plug wires.
vaquaro Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 :fool: same answers as you got on JF
carnuck Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 C101 connector is probably the issue. That's the big connector above the brake booster on '87/88 MJs and XJs. Wiggle it and see if the motor dies.
