HHaisten
Both my left and right door locks are no longer working properly. How hard are these to replace? Where should I buy a set?
500 MJ
Cheapest find will be at a yard if they will let you have the keys as well with the locks. They have a little steel clip on the inside of the door that holds them in and then there is linkage connceting them to the latches. Check this linkage cause it might have just come off and needs to be rehooked to your latch. They are kinda hard for me to replace, but I have big hands... mike
i replaced the ones on my 87 and it's not too hard, i was lucky and had the code #'s for the locks i put in and was able to go to a locksmith and he made a key with the code #. hardest part is seeing what you have to do to unhook the linkage rod holders, then the lock itself has a spring type clamp holding it in place that you have to pry off then the lock will slide out. if you can get the lock out then take that to a locksmith and he might be able to repair them if you can't get another set of locks. 87manche
you can order the GM style lock cylinders from JC whitney. They're cheap and come with the key.
