Hey guys, I need some information

Recommended Posts

I have court in the morning for my Mj being "To tall to be on the street" I looked up the Ma lift law and it appears we use a formula that is wheelbasextrackwidth/2200 which comes out to about 2.5 inches. I just want somebody to double check the math for me before I bring this to court with me and end up looking like a fool. If somebody could just measure there rigs and run it through the fomula I will be in your debt.

Do you have a long bed or a shortbed? If the wheelbase is used, obviously that matters.

The track is different depending on the factory wheels. With the base 15 x 6 rims track is 57". With any of the 15 x 7 rims track is 58". Wheelbase for the longbed is 119.9". So using a longbed with 7" factory rims as the base I get 58 x 119.9 / 2200 = 3.16

I believe the shortbed wheelbase was 112.9". If you use the narrow track and the shortbed, you get a worst case of 57 x 112.9 / 2200 = 2.93

How tall is your lift? I have driven through Mass tons of times and seen hundreds HUGE jacked up trucks with lifts easily over 12"

Sounds like the cop has a grudge against you and had to dig deep to find a reason to ticket you.
