Will the drivers door from a 91 Xj fit on my 89 Mj? I compared the two and they appear to be the same but I just want to make sure before I buy something that won't work.

Is the xj a 2 door or a 4 door? I don't think the 2 door will swap, but the 4 door will I believe.

4 door cherokee doors work on the MJs.

 

2 door XJ doors do not.

Any 4 door XJ door will fit before 1997. A 97+ door has a different door latch.

Yep still can use it if you have a welder or want to go get it welded. IMHO it would be better so you can get rid of that pesky vent window, and be able to fit your arm out the window.

Also,

the early (drivers side) vent window post is in the way if you swap on late model mirrors.

 

The mirrors still work, but you're looking at the vent post cutting right through the center of the (bigger) later mirrors.

97-01 doors work too, you just need to change the striker plate position. And they look
