88pioneer Posted October 7, 2010 Author Posted October 7, 2010 Its almost done. Snagged my radiator an pieces from the pick n pull, an got it converted over to open cooling. :clapping: It was actually really simple to do, and didn't take long. New puller fan and idler pulley are on, an hood is on. Tomorrow it needs the front end wiring finished, an bolt up the header panel an we should be good to go.
88pioneer Posted October 9, 2010 Author Posted October 9, 2010 97+ front end is complete. I'm really liking the newer look, reminds me off my old XJ. Swap was pretty easy, and i even got my blinkers and side markers to alternate like in the newer XJ's. Open cooling system works great. Also re did the headliner, and put some comanche club swag on.
1999MJ Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 Let me know when your ready for that cap. That would put the finishing touch on your MJ. I'll also throw in a set of alloy american racing wheels for free. $150 for it all
btm24 Posted October 10, 2010 Posted October 10, 2010 wow man looks rly nice! your truck looks kinda silly half black :dunce: so now that your done can i have your coolent bottle now? :brows: Brandon
88pioneer Posted October 13, 2010 Author Posted October 13, 2010 Nothing new to the progress, but did pick up an XJ 44.
88pioneer Posted May 1, 2011 Author Posted May 1, 2011 Finally got some work done on it again now that the weather is nice. Pulled the bed and found a very clean frame underneath. Also pulled the 97+ parts off, thinking of going back to the old front end. Next to come out is the motor an trans, then some body work. Will get pictures up as soon as we get our computer fixed.
88pioneer Posted July 20, 2011 Author Posted July 20, 2011 Finally got pictures working again. This is how it sits at the moment. Motor is on its way out, and just the doors are left on it. Next to come out will be the interior, and any necessary rust repair. Frame is surprisingly clean for a Jersey truck I also scored most of a black interior for the super low price of $20. Needs a few more pieces and a good cleaning, but there was no way I could pass up that deal.
88pioneer Posted August 8, 2011 Author Posted August 8, 2011 No pics again, but motor an tranny are out. Now I just need to strip the interior, and then comes the body work. Pics to come shortly
