kro10000 Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 So um... guys, on those two steel lines that go into the internal slave cylinder, was I supposed to put one o ring on each line or two where they meet the cylinder?
kro10000 Posted June 23, 2010 Author Posted June 23, 2010 I kinda need to know ASAP, if I am dropping the trans tonight or not. :help: :help:
garyindiane Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 2 on mine. 1 down inside and 1 on top of hole. 2 o-rings per line that is. -Gary
kro10000 Posted June 23, 2010 Author Posted June 23, 2010 So I was supposed to put two O rings on each line?....... This possibly could explain my clutch issues
MancheKid86 Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 i thought doubble flared lines don't require o-rings? and doesnt dot fluid swell/destroy the rubber?
kro10000 Posted June 23, 2010 Author Posted June 23, 2010 THe lines that go into the slave cylinder itself are not flared, and yes they do use o rings, there are many rubber components in the clutch system... So two o rings on a line, or one?
garyindiane Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 So two o rings on a line, or one? I'm pretty sure it's two. Sorry. There is a grove down inside maybe a 1/4". The other one sits flush with the top. I used all four that came with the kit. On a side note... Are you replacing with a factory salve? Replaced mine with autozone crap, and I only got about 30 miles until it blew out. :fs1: Just a warning. I have to drop mine again and replace with a factory unit. -Gary
