86 2.5 5spd what transfercase ?

i just assumed that it was gonna be a 231 , and since its for sale , someone asked me if the 231 had been swapped in. -i havnt relied to them yet though.

An '86 with Command-Trac should be an NP 207.

thank you sir. it never occured to me that it would be anything other than the 231. -an aquaintance has a yj for sale and it has the same motor and hes listed it as having a 231 as well, but he seems to know his stuff a lot more than me so maybe his is what it says.

Last year for the 207 was 86. 87 will have a 231. IIRC, 87 was the first year of the YJ.
