Squeegy410 Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 you may have heard about the floods in tennessee. it was foggy, and i drove through a pond in the road. i have pulled my carpet, fixed the rust under it, put all the interior back in, and changed the oil. now all i need to know is what kind of oil to put in my d44 rear end? please let me know! thanks
BORDENCOMANCHE Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 I think its 75-90 or something, look for differential gear oil. If you have found something that smells really really bad, thats probably it!
-600JeepMJ Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 :agree: SAE 75W-90, API grade GL-5 :ack: the smeller it is the better! NOTE: use SAE 80W-140,API grade GL-5, for trailer towing applications
Squeegy410 Posted May 8, 2010 Author Posted May 8, 2010 thanks  I'm back on the road and better than ever  i changed the oil in the pukey and checked the rear end and it was ok. now ive got a shot running light due to the water  fix her right up tommorrow thjough
