jpnjim
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... MEWAX%3AIT MJ carpet for $125.95. the seller seems legit, he's sold some MJ carpets, wondering if anyone here bought one? Feedback? When I pull the carpet on the Grandpa Jeep, depending on the condition of the (21 year) old one, I may just replace it. So, anyone dealt with these guys, or this carpet? Boilermaker
didn't deal with the seller, but i have the ACC carpet. There are a few people around here who are happy with them, but i probably wouldn't buy another one. i bought the kit without the jute padding because the ACC carpet needs to be trimmed and i was putting down my own sound deadening anyway. Even with the sound deadening, the carpet was kind of baggy around the transmission hump. but other than that the fit was [original post read wasn't] ok. The drivers side footpad is in the right spot, but much smaller than stock. I'm also looking for some decent carpet mats because the ACC carpet doesn't feel as durable as the stock carpet was. jpnjim
Hmm.. I forgot about the jute backing 'option'. I would get the backing if I was going to replace the carpet, hopefully the looseness around your tunnel was because they allowed extra room for the backing. I'll have to figure out how much more they want for the jute, and figure that into if I buy one, or not. Thanks for the review.
ajpolitz
I had a '76 Cutlass I restored and used an ACC carpet. Now I picked one up for my Comanche. Good carpet. Goes in nice with just enough extra. Rymanrph
I've emailed them before. It's $75 more for the mass backing.
glundblad
If I recall correctly, I have asked a similar question in the past on this forum. The general consensus was there was no carpet available that matched the quality of oem. So if you need new carpet, you would expect to sacrafice quality to some degree. Anyone chime in if I am wrong?
ajpolitz
I have the carpet sitting in the bed of my Manche right now, along with floor mats. I'll take a couple of shots this week and post them for you. I would say the carpet is equal to or better then OEM. If I recall correctly, I have asked a similar question in the past on this forum.
