The bolts in my steerin box keep breaking out 88 mj 4x4 auto

any body have any ideas :wall:

Buy new grade 8 bolts.

 

The only problem I've had is a bolt pulling through the frame (taking the sleeve with it) and another bolt stripping out. But that happened trying to turn 33" tires with a locked front axle.

 

I fixed it by plating the frame with 3/16 inside and out and retapping the stripped hole to accept a 1/2" bolt.

your bolts are breaking due to a 800lb steer-in box

I just put new grade eight bolts in its plated on the outside

Mine has a missing bolt in it since the day I owned it. Never noticed anything

well the first time all three broke and u lose turning no fun now just one broke but i don't wanna be driving down the road and go to turn and it no turn...
